I am an applied economist with a background in regional science and labour economics. My current research focuses on inequality in labour market outcomes by gender, ethnicity, and disability; unemployment and on-the-job search. Most of my research uses large individual and household data such as the UK Labour Force Survey, the British Household Panel Study, and the UK Household Longitudinal Study.
I am currently Associate Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Reading. I am also Research Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Labour (IZA) and Research Affiliate of the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM).
